Gay Zurich Café Rathaus, Limmatquai – give me a breakSuzy Size fled gay Pattaya: Disenchantment with gay Thailand leads to grand gay European tourBy Suzy Size, normally based in gay Pattaya, reporting live from gay Zurich
Suzy Size to her great delight had seen on the menu that they had this wonderful Weissbier from Munich at Café Rathaus as well. She ordered one of a cute waiter, even though her good friend Peter in Cotignac would strongly object. All of the waiters at Rathaus Café are cute and obviously gay, and very unavailable for old tarts comme said much quoted size-queen. Lucas, the architect who just recently had spent a vacation at the new Sansuk gay sauna and hotel in Pattaya, joined Suzy for a drink. Actually Lucas had proposed to meet at Café Rathaus. Always listen to the local guides (or consult the Pink Pages of our world gay guide). Suzy and Lucas had this very distinguished and quite intellectual discussion on architecture, city planning, hustlers, the arts, politics, books, economy and food. It is very hard to find such people in Pattaya if you wish to have (and like) such talks – not difficult to find in Pattaya if you want to talk gay boys only. In Zurich you find such intellectual individuals in masses, everything is so highly cultivated. People are respectful to each other and very, very correct. Just come close to a crossover at a road and the cars are obliged to stop and let you cross. Such is the law here and it is followed by everybody to the point. Coming from Pattaya (or Bangkok) you will most certainly suffer of severe culture shock. If you want to be left alone in Switzerland you can block your telephone from ringing and if somebody tries to call you anyhow (how dare!) he gets a soft spoken woman from a tape telling him: “The subscriber does not want to be disturbed at the moment. Please try again latrer.” As you can see clearly, they overdo a bit in Zurich, they treat each other sometimes as if they all were terminal ill cancer patients. But it is nice for a break from Pattaya. Then Lucas and Suzy Size decided to go to another famous gay place in Zurich, Grand Café Odeon. They walked there, of course, Zurich is for people that like walking, another striking difference to good old Pattaya. What might happen at Café Odeon?
